Betrayals

In T r Dh chais magic is reviled; some two thousands years ago a man sought to acquire immortality and claim a woman as well as T r Dh chais and what was once acknowledged as part of the country's history is now a thing of darkness, something to fear. Witches are being hunted and sentenced to death everywhere in T r Dh chais unless they escape to Vihollishmaa where the anathema has made his residence and from where he plans to conquer the land of his birth. In Elmonte, a fiefdom near the border of the enemy's land Lord Roderick has raised his daughters, quiet Eleanor and fiery Roxanne, to think and stand for themselves in a land still overwhelmingly ruled by men. But when it appears that magic still holds in T r Dh chais the two sisters find themselves in a situation they never expected. Eleanor is forced to consider what she has learned from birth may not be the whole truth, while Roxanne must decide whether love trumps everything, even peace.
