Bel Ami

"Bel Ami" is one of the most well-known novels by the outstanding French writer Guy de Maupassant (1850-1893). A good-looker Georges Duroy barely makes a living in the city of entertainment - Paris. Suddenly, however, he notices that he is very well regarded by wives of high rank officials. Not possessing other talents except the art of philtering hearts, Duroy begins his progressing up the career ladder, displaying astonishing expediency.
