Behind Closed Doors - The Book

This book came about in 2012. I was in the midst of chairing Opera Ball and needed a distraction. I created 19 18"x18"x8" miniature scenes, also known as "room boxes," Each of these "rooms" is unique and has a story to tell. They reside adjacent to our living room in Honolulu and garner much attention and comments. In 2018 one of my children suggested that I write about who dwells within each "room." Thus, began the "Behind Closed Doors" short story series. The project took over two years.In the end, I wrote 19 individual stories that totaled 285 pages, 53,715 words and went through reams of paper. I created over 173 characters each has distinct occupations, represents a wide spectrum of society and has a myriad of things going on behind their closed doors!
