Behind All The Tears

Tears are terrifying

They reek with vulnerability

A forbidden fruit

that we''ve learned to bury

But they lure you in

You reach for the stem

Your teeth mark the spot

You take a bite of the apple

that even Adam and Eve fraught

The tears begin to flow like a river

whose dam came tumbling down

flooding the villages and valleys

Stop holding the tears captive

because the consequences
