In Batting Four Thousand: Baseball in the Western Reserve are twenty  articles about people, events, and ideas from the four corners of that “strange and wonderful thing we call Cleveland baseball,” as editor Brad Sullivan calls it. The all-star roster of contributors includes leading SABR researchers and Cleveland sportswriters who share their deep knowledge of Cleveland’s professional teams, including the Buckeyes and Tate Wars, as well as of the storied Indians—even of Cleveland’s brief entry in the American Association.
