Basic Laser Technology

These course notes, workbook and self-test booklet is intended for Level I Laser Technicians. In a manufacturing environment, they generally perform final tests on lasers and laser systems to ensure that they comply with customer specifications. To be fully effective in their job functions they must understand laser and optics principles, laser beam performance specifications, and good laser lab and manufacturing practices. This self-test booklet focuses on laser performance specifications, including tacit but critical ones.
