This collection, published in 1893, is among Stevenson’s last finished works. The book consists of a novella entitled The Beach of Falesá, a narrative of a South sea trader who is tricked into marriage; it is said to have influenced Joseph Conrad in writing Heart of Darkness. Also included are the short stories “The Bottle Imp,” and “The Isle of Voices”—both magical tales of the South Seas that are sure to delight.
