My boss recommended this book, and I am glad she did. It is very comprehensive, up to date on the latest practices, and explains very much the "e;why?"e; we do certain things the way we do in L&D units. Pretty much explains you what the standard of care is across the board. Some of my experienced nurses also found it very useful as a refresher and ended up buying it as well. Worth the investment. I can see myself referring to this book often in my career. A must have for Mother/Baby Nurses. I think L&D RN's would benefit a lot too. I got it for the RN MNN RNC exam and so far it has been great for resource and up to date standard of care information.. good investment.
