Ave Dei patris filia

SSATB unaccompanied (with divisions) This jubilant and virtuosic antiphon was written in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Tallis Scholars. Referring to the synonymous antiphon by Thomas Tallis himself, Jackson's work captures the same sense of devotional reverence, but emphasises the jubilant side of worship in keeping with the spirit of celebrating an anniversary. Ave dei patris was first performed by the Tallis Scholars, directed by Peter Phillips, at St. Paul's Cathedral, London on 7 March 2013.
