In San Francisco, a young woman has despaired of her life, and stands on the brink of eternity in a raging storm on the Golden Gate Bridge. She makes her final decision, and is about to jump off when suddenly an old man appears on the bridge and urges her to come down and talk, because he has brought her a gift that will change her life.
