Arminius: a German Romance

In AD9 Rome suffered its worst military defeat, the annihilation of three legions in a German forest. But there was no clearly defined country of Germany to claim the victory; and for the victorious general, one tribal chieftain among many chieftains and many tribes, defeating Rome was only the beginning of a far longer battle.
