Archaeometric and Archaeological Approaches to Ceramics

A collection of 27 papers presented at EMAC's 8th European Meeting on Ancient Ceramics, held at Lyon in 2005. The contributors discuss a range of subjects, including methdological developments, dating, ceramics as containers and as building materials, conservation and restoration, technical aspects, and production, diffusion and commercialization. Case studies are taken from across Europe including: Marche in central Italy, Badajoz in Spain, Modena in Italy, Montenegro, Lyon in France, south-west Hungary, Uzbekistan and Sicily.
