Applied Molecular Genetics of Filamentous Fungi

sidottu, 1992
englanti
Filamentous fungi are a very large group of organisms, traditionally useful in the antibiotic, enzyme, chemical and food industries. More recently, their potential as hosts for the production of foreign proteins has been investigated, with mixed success. There is also a growing interest in the use of fungi for biological control. Written by an international team of authors, this book aims to provide a comprehensive overview of recent developments in the molecular biology of filamentous fungi and the application of these developments to a range of commercially useful fungi. Problems, successes and future prospects are examined. "Destructive" fungi, such as animal and plant pathogens, are not included. The book is directed at academic and industrial researchers in molecular biology, biotechnology, microbiology and genetics.
