Another Time Another Place

In the near future, the American government controls public education with an arbitrary, top down system. A progressive West Coast innovator is forced to go underground when the government orders him to stop training teachers. This novel explores his adventures as he attempts to restore individualized and brain-based educational programs to the classroom. His struggles move from the Oregon Coast to the Hebrides as his methods are deemed subversive, and he enlists the cooperation of a Scottish billionaire in realizing his goals. The open conflict wakes the nation up, but does it lead to any meaningful changes? Readers may be moved in that direction.
