In the summer of 1962, Andy decided to visit the miners at the California Butte Mine. He wanted to learn to find gold.Bored by the hot dusty town of Ransburg and the tiny shop his mother sold curios in, he set out toward Red Mountain. On the way, he encountered a mine shaft. Unable to resist making his way down the rickety ladder, he broke his promise to his mother.What he found at the bottom, he had to keep a secret. This is the true story of Andy and the gold mine.
