Ten years old Sten’s whole life falls apart when the disaster comes.

Grandma dies, mom gets crazier, he has to move to a foster family, and he loses touch with his best friend Amir.

No, now it can’t get any worse.

But in the foster family, he meets Rickard, aged twelve, who is at least as mentally broken as he is. And Rickard becomes his lifeline, a bridge to something brighter.

Not being able to be with Amir makes him so sad that he chooses to cut off their contact.

But during the funeral, he intends to escape. And now the foster father’s love is put to the test.

He wins Sten’s love. Although this family home is an emergency home. Sten must soon move on to a permanent foster home.

Although he has started to enjoy this home and refuses to move anymore.

He plans to escape. And he gets help from Rickard to set up an escape plan.
