Jim Alderson is at a typical day at work when a Super EMP devastates the 21st century lifestyle. He has to make it home and bring together a community. The world is breaking down faster than he imagined. Falling apart would be easy, but it isn't an option. The trek across the metropolis is the easy part. People losing their cool, bikers, and desperation force Alderson to do unimaginable things, and he's one of the nice guys.
