Andar, the deposed prince and head of a small clan of royalists, is one of the last honorable vampires on the planet. He has mastered his blood hunger, in stark contrast to the usurper Valock. Without a throne, he and his clan try to fight against Valock's cruelty. But when Valock hears a prophecy, he begins to steal Mashek moon daughters.
