Aischtal Cycle Path, Rothenburg on the Tauber - Bammountain

For many, the Aischtal Cycle Path is one of the most beautiful river cycle paths in Germany. The cycle path, awarded 4 stars by the ADFC as a quality route in 2013, combines Middle Franconia and Upper Franconia, nature and culture as well as enjoyment in a unique way. From the medieval jewel of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the 121 km long cycle path leads gently to historic Bamberg. The route is varied and family-friendly. On the way you encounter the meadow orchards of the Frankenhöhe as well as the wide valley meadows of the Aischgrund and historical places worth seeing. Away from busy roads you will find the unique nature of the Aisch valley with its more than 7,000 ponds.
