What's an African child to do? When his African dreams are shattered - Right before his hopeful eyes Eyes red as roses, As blood engorges his devilish eyes. Tears racing down his face, Like rain drops during a thunder storm. Tears grow larger and larger, As they collide & become one with their siblings. Losing all hope against his will. What's an African child to do? As his dreams fade away - At the hands of rejection, corruption & nepotism As endless doors of opportunities vanishing, At the sight of his presence. For his skin colour leads with pride & stands out amongst the masses. Speaking louder than his voice, As his voice goes unheard. Slowly silenced with every rejection & oppression. What's an African child to do?When his own brothers & sisters turn against him. Driven by greed as they eat alone. Corruption coursing through their veins. Left in the dark without a window of opportunity. Silenced by power and deceit. Being deprived of his birth rights - Banished to poverty land. Where his roots are deeply rooted - But where his future repudiates
