Accelerated multimodal rehabilitation in colorectal surgery

One of the advances that has currently contributed most to the recovery of patients after laparoscopic colorectal surgery is the "Multimodal Rehabilitation" or "Fast Track" model. This programme is based on multidisciplinary action with the aim of reducing post-surgical pathophysiological alterations in order to accelerate the patient's recovery and shorten hospital stays.
