A Year On The Dot

When Melissa's father left her without a word of explanation or even a goodbye, Melissa is forced to leave their Manhattan apartment and the hustle and bustle and beautiful places of the great metropolis. She is packed off to move in with her Aunt Katherine who lives in tiny Campbell's Corners, a dot on the map of Ontario, a province of Canada, Worse, her aunt doesn't want her. Melissa knows this because she accidentally came upon a letter from her aunt to her father: "Sending Melissa to me is not a good idea under the circumstances," her aunt had written. But what were the circumstances and knowing them, why would her father insist on sending her to this tiny village where she would not be welcomed?
