A Writer’s Journal for Creating Characters

• Name one thing you’d find in their pocket.
• Do they have any daily routines?
• Do they like gossip?

Then build off of these smaller details to really get into the meat of your character:

• What is one way they treat their body well?
• How do they work through their thoughts?
• Describe a significant person in their life, past or present.
