A Tale of One Family

Sophie Daley in the year of 1905 was a very worried young lady as she had recently been informed her father in law's Doncaster newspaper business which had employed her husband, had just gone into receivership throwing her husband and his brothers out of work. She was well aware her husband had drink and gambling problems so knew as they had three young girls it would be totally up to her to provide a living, but was well aware how difficult this would be. Fortunately with the help of her sister Kate and Wilf her brother she opens a small food shop in Cleveland Street. The years pass and the War comes with Wilf sent to France, then a few years later an unfortunate attraction for her eldest daughter causes the family grave problems. Now please read on!
