Detective Alison Lang has spent her entire career as a homicide detective solving cases and providing each victim's family justice. She was one of the best the state and her career was thriving. Her personal life, not so much. While she'd love nothing more than to stay home for the next few weeks and have a good cry over the life she should have had, fate had other plans.

Alison and her partner Paul found themselves facing one of their hardest challenges in their years long partnership in Homicide. The death of Congresswoman Janine Jackson had everyone on their toes, especially Alison and Paul. Their skills and Alison's sanity are put to the test as they try to solve what seemed to be the perfect crime. Can they pull it off when there's no motive, no evidence, and no way for the murderer to have gotten into the Congresswoman's house?
