A Song for Margaret

This novel revolves between two worlds, the story of "Zeinab," the young girl who escapes from the atmosphere of the 2006 Beirut war to scattered papers and digital files that she hides in her computer, to tell the story of the French writer Marguerite Duras, in her strange love story with Yann Andrea, a young man many years younger than her. Between a strange, unclear relationship, and a young woman who lives in the atmosphere of war in another time, giving this relationship her own interests as a participating party in the world of Marguerite Duras and her lover, Zainab recalls old stories from memory and tries to discover the truth about herself and Marguerite. It is a novel that reveals the human soul with all its weakness, oscillating between doubt and certainty, hope and despair, strength and weakness, and with all the philosophical questions about the truth and essence of life, existence, time, and the extent of its usefulness or nihilism.
