A New Deal for Southeastern Archaeology

Recipient of the 1994 Anne B. and James B. McMillan Prize, this work explores New Deal archaeology in southeastern America in the 1930s and early 1940s. It focuses on the projects of bodies such as the Civil Works Administration, the National Parks Service and the Smithsonian Institution.
