A Therapeutic Biblical Foundation for Substance Abuse The purpose of this project is a crude attempt to sum up the major points of our knowledge, and still more our ignorance, about drugs; how to define and control the harm they do to personalities and to society. There is much literature and pamphlets to be found written from a non-drug user's perspective. My purpose has been to select and assemble some useful nuggets from this vast and outrageous epidemic of substance abuse. Also threw the years of maltickerlating through 12 step programs and recovery meetings it has been taught that a single gene cell determines whether a person will become an addict or not. Through research, interviews, and experience this project proved otherwise. Also, this project shows that a 12 step program in not the only way to recovery from drugs. By learning to live by spiritual principles, which is found throughout the Bible, a person cans recovery from substance abuse.
