A History of Caribbean Secondary School Astronomy

This book documents the background and history of the first ever comprehensive teaching of astronomy at the secondary level in the Caribbean. This was through the Caribbean Examinations Council from 1977-1983. Particular attention is given to the author's role in designing and implementing the curriculum and course material. Attention is also given to the problems encountered in the course of both the teachers' workshops and the students' issues - both with the material and the examinations.
