"Life has a dark side.

For many years, Mong-Tuyen has only known the military life: pack up the household, move to another state or country, start a new school (often in the middle of the year, ) make new friends (which is difficult when you're shy, ) and just when life finally feels comfortable, start the cycle all over again. Finding your place in this world is hard when your world keeps changing.

This is a poetry collection of one woman's struggle to dream, cope and survive among the thorns as she journeys from youth to adulthood, one life in and out of the dark."
