A Bachelor Husband

Marie grew up with Christopher for part of their childhood and always adored him. She is 24 when the story opens and Marie’s father has just died. Almost as soon as the will is read, Chris proposes and she accepts him. But then misunderstandings ensue about the will and regarding Chris's motives in proposing, and Marie tells him to consider himself not married – a ‘bachelor husband’.
