1 Kings

The Book of 1 Kings begins with the Kingdom of Israel lled with potential. David had been a great king and was ready to hand his reign over to his son Solomon. Sadly, just one generation would pass before the kingdom found itself divided and turning from their Lord and God. The unfaithfulness of Israel stands in great contrast to the faithfulness of the God who sent His prophets and signs to the rulers and people, giving every opportunity for them to turn once again to Him.
