A fool knows the price of everything and the value of nothing is the theme between Waverly Abbott and Storm Lancaster. The intelligent high school expellees serendipitously meet at a garage sale when Storm's parents force him to sell his things as punishment for being expelled. Their relationship takes off with them often viewing sex in economic terms as if sex was an item to be consumed and where relationships are subject to the law of diminishing return. As they grow closer together, Waverly s promiscuous past comes to light. She finds amusement in his immaturity, but her frankness over sex causes him to have concern. At their new school, they make a mutual friend in Jamal. The trio engages in pranks as their friendship with him grows. Jamal, often the voice of reason and conscience is ignored to the detriment of the couple. Emotions spin out of control after a frolicking camping trip with Waverly s old high-school buddies and the sexual economics experiment implodes.
