Progress of Plant Ecology in India

The first volume, therefore, includes a survey of the phytogeography followed by a review which brings out the problems of population differentiation among Indian flora. Two other papers review the work on mangrove habitats, and the arid and semi-arid regions of the subcontinent. The reviews on the autecological investigations, synecological studies of grassland, forest end aquatic habitats, and production ecology will be included in the second volume. It is hoped that the two-volume work on completion will fulfill a long-felt need of a compendium covering all aspects of ecology in India.
