This book analyzes the issue of peripheral security governance from the perspective of the European Union. It reviews the different stages of the EU's peripheral security governance since the end of the Cold War, based on the criteria for successful security governance. The study focuses on the Balkans, Eastern neighbors, the South Caucasus countries, and Mediterranean countries, exploring the effectiveness of the EU's peripheral security governance in each stage.
