Long Way Home

The sickness came quickly. It took her family, friends, neighbors and seemingly everyone else. Lucy found herself, at fourteen, all alone in the world. Does she let loneliness and despair overtake her or does she decide to not only survive but to live life. Can she survive? Will she find anyone else out there? Will she ever find happiness again?This is a story about a young girl's struggle to overcome despair having suddenly lost everyone in her life. She has to learn how to survive on her own, and endure the hardships that brings. She has to learn to live life alone and without modern conveniences that she has always taken for granted. With so much to overcome her character and will to hope will be severely tested.
