Author Dianne Bergant takes the message from various Bible stories from Lent -stories that we think we know well- and from them provides food for thought on the experiences of our daily lives. Perhaps we are not so different from someone like Jonah, and while the lessons of love and mercy that Jesus teaches are difficult sometimes to accept, their fruit is a blessing for us all. And Lent is the perfect time to make the decision to turn toward God and receive his love and mercy.
