Burn-Induced Neurodegeneration

This volume explores the emerging understanding that severe burns may act as catalysts for neurodegenerative processes, resulting in long term sensorimotor, cognitive, and functional decline. Burn induced systemic inflammation, neuroinflammatory cascades, and ICU related neurological syndromes collectively form a clinical continuum that mimics or contributes to neurodegeneration.
