Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Favoured by a number of letters of Dalton's, and much original information hitherto unpublished, I am enabled to present my readers with a more correct personal history of the famous chemical philosopher than has yet appeared in print.
