Although stroke is not often thought of as a major health issue for women, in reality it is the second greatest killer of women in the world (with the exception of heart disease. It has been demonstrated that there is a higherer mortality, higher disability and higher incidence of dementia in women who survive a stroke. This book presents recent research in the field from around the globe.
