William McKinley

McKinley governed in a time of extreme change in U.S. history. As Congressman, Governor, and President, McKinley embraced adaptation and modernisation and governed with a style based on his traditional experiences, knowledge and character. In the 1890s, America prospered at home and abroad, largely because of the policies of McKinley.
