Ten-year-old Meridian and her Grandpa Frank Frank are certain that the legendary monster, Wide Eye, is real. Together they run the family's quirky lakeside museum, collecting proof that the creature is more than just a local myth. But this summer, everything is about to change. It starts with a family secret: one that Meridian's mom and Frank Frank refuse to explain. Then, her two most annoying classmates arrive at Wide Eye Lake, bragging they've spotted the very beast Meridian has chased her whole life!
