When Will We Play Again?

Starting with a desire to answer a simple question from his son that explained our unique situation, Darien Heap MD, sat down to write a book. "e;When will we play again?"e; is the story of a boy and his father navigating the new situations during the coronavirus pandemic and how they realize that there will still be hope and fun, but in a different way. Collaborating with illustrator Corey Macourk, the book engages simple, straightforward explanations of social distancing and vaccines, the book shows vibrant scenes of the boy and his father and interactions with the boy's grandmother during now-familiar pandemic situations - empty parks, video chats, and distancing at supermarkets. The result is the book that he wished he'd had to read his son at night.
