Visit to the Museum of Eternity

Why did I name my museum "The Museum of Eternity"? If Turkey''s most famous novelist, Orhan Pamuk, established a museum of innocence, then I am establishing a museum of eternity. Museums are the repositories of treasures, the abode of the rare, the precious, and the exceptional. We only apply the term "eternal" and "timeless" to great works destined to live long in the conscience. This is because the selections on display in the museum are true art, and all true art is necessarily eternal and timeless. This is my museum, and these are my selections. Call them essays, portraits, or stories; the name is not problematic. The book is a building block in the wall of purposeful attempts to spread the culture of art and incite beauty. The most I hope for is that these papers fall into the hands of a young person, tempting him to visit an exhibition, or browse Google''s image browser after a name. It is also hoped that an art teacher will pick it up and take his students on a trip to one of the galleries, or that it will summon some companionship to you on a long winter night when you are plagued by insomnia. Perhaps, after completing your tour, you will be provoked to search and identify your own favorites. Anyway, I hope you have an enjoyable tour.
