Vanished

I glanced away for a second, and she was gone. It was supposed to be a relaxing day at the beach. An escape from everything that’s been going on recently. Bonnie was right there beside me. In her yellow swimming costume. And then, in a split second, she wasn’t. My heart plummets and I call out. I try to tell myself this happens. It’s a busy day in a popular sun spot.
