John Tinker, the only polyorganism in all the universe of universes, is waken from a nap on one of the living room's couches by an unusual visitor who asks him for help. And once again, as it always seems to happen, Tinker and the rest of himself are pulled out into the universe of universes to meet new folk and some they would rather not meet again. But that is the nature of life, for who can tell what the future may bring. Usually a surprise, or two.
