Traumatic Reticuloperitonitis in Cattle and Buffaloes

Traumatic reticuloperitonitis (TRP) is one of the most significant and economically important gastrointestinal disorders of cattle and buffaloes. The condition arises primarily due to the ingestion and subsequent penetration of sharp metallic foreign bodies through the reticular wall, leading to localized or generalized peritonitis. Despite advances in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, TRP continues to pose major challenges in both organized and unorganised dairy farms.
