"Thicker Than Blood" Historical Romance set during WW2 Marie meets Davy when she is 16, and they marry a few years later, full of promises of a bright future together. Sadly, they lose a baby in the first year of marriage, and soon afterwards, war is declared. Davy, a miner in the South Wales Coalfields, does not get conscripted to the forces because he is in a reserved occupation.
