The process of decentralizing state activities is a premise that is increasingly evident in the current management model. The strong concept of seeking a leaner and less executive state has led to the search for ways to carry out public services in such a way as to meet the real needs of those being administered and in such a way as to comply with the precepts of quality and efficiency that should be an intrinsic requirement of every administrative act. Privatizations, publicizations, partnerships with private entities and non-profit organizations have been agreed by public entities in various areas, such as transport and health. This book, through a case study, analyzes and describes the Public-Private Partnership as a tool for public managers to achieve prison services. The author carried out qualitative research through a case study in which the data collected was analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results were satisfactory in the light of the categories of analysis established and when compared to the situation of the Brazilian prison system presented by the CNJ report.
