The Top of the Hut Gang covers the first set of basic letters and sounds that students meet in the early stages of a phonics teaching programme. It corresponds to Phase 3 of Letters and Sounds, the UK Government's synthetic phonics programme, but can be used for phonics reading practice to support any phonics programme.
